We can say that it will be in the 60’s when James Stirling´s work, part made in associación with James Gowan, begins to be admired and respected worldwide. At that time, as many other authors, his true personality was created. With the difficulty to fit an architect´s biography to a certain time, the two projects I propose to revisit are linked mainly to this period. In them, Stirling evolves from his first modern education to a more interest to show us “the shape of the city”. Frequently this process is confusing and contradictory, in a continuous twoway street when some ideas are constantly repeated. I would want to pay attention to those small issues that go beyond time and styles and give us a deeper understanding of the author´s thoughts.Downloads
