The purpose of this study was to establish the biomechanics variable of the high jump that are most highly correlated with performance in relation to age group. The best jump of 11 U-15 jumpers, nine U-18 jumpers, and 12 senior jumpers from their respective age group Spanish National Indoor Championship was recorded and analyzed. Twenty-five biomechanical variables were analyzed (pre-jump, take-off, and clearing the bar). The technique used to analyse the jumps as the 3D photogrammetric, using three video cameras (50HZ). A descriptive and inferential analysis of the data was done (Spearman correlation). The kinematic variables that correlate with performance are different for the different age groups, except the center of mass height on the bar. The results show that the evaluation and the key aspects of the technique should not be the same for the different age groups.Downloads
