The renowned architect Alberto Campo Baeza has often upheld the following maxim: "to design is to investigate". This article intends, after a brief explanation of this statement, to examine whether the architect has been consistent with it. To do so, an example is proposed, a work process led directly by Campo Baeza: the treatment of light while developing the main idea far his project far the Central Headquarters of Caja General de Ahorros de Granada. lt will be possible to reconstruct this process using the drawings, plans and model photographs that the architect has preserved. lt will be observed which is the fundamental attitude with which Campo Baeza faces his work, the openness to explore a wide range of possibilities, his reflections, and the verification to which he submits his work.Downloads
