Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze the opinion of the coaches on the use, and the selection criteria and processing systems basketball game in formative stages. We designed and validated questionnaire Game Systems (Salado, 2010). The questionnaire was administered to a total of 42 coaches in basketball federation degree. The most significant results indicated that: a) increases as the category, the coaches give more importance to the overall game systems, b) in category under-12 and under14 coach gives little importance to the game systems, highlighting game systems forattack on man defense, c) in under-16 and under-18 shows that the major game systems as are individual, d) shows an increase in the valuations of using technical and tactical media collective within gaming systems along the categories except for using the 1x1 game in which the valuation is decreasing, e) in the categories under-12 and under-14 the most important for coaches is to use the 1x1 game; f ) in the under-16 category include the use of 1x1 game followed basic tactical media collective 2x2 and 3x3 and under-18 highlights MTCB using 2x2 3x3 MTCB followed; g) there is an increase in the importance of all defenses under the category increases, h) there is little importance to specialize in players under-12 and under-14. All these data, serve to coaches to make decisions in their planning process sports short, medium and long term.
