The semantic fission and the postproductive techniques used at ETSAM, respectively, throughout the teaching work carried out by Juan Daniel Fullaondo and the research developed by Federico Soriano, in his Teaching Unit 26, represent two specific ways of approaching the architecture project and of understanding the link with the vanguards (in the case of Fullaondo) and with the new computer and digital graphic tools that are used in architectural production (in the case of Soriano). Both pretend to face, from an educational point of view, the plurality of situations generated by the crisis (for Fullaondo, that of the sixties and, for Soriano, the current one) by outlining paths that the coming generations of architects are called to explore. This paper delves into the operativity of these techniques, pointing out, on the one hand, their connections and differences, and, on the other, raising questions (rather than providing answers) about their possible implications.Downloads
