Introduction: in high-performance soccer teams, strength training in all its forms has become vitally important. This quality is essential to develop competitive teams that can be resistant to loads and develop higher performance peaks based on this pillar as the main axis of development of sports performance. Methodology: a descriptive study was carried out in which the eccentric power of 29 male Colombian professional soccer players was evaluated using the Smartcoach device in combination with the kBox Exxentric inertial machine. Results: general results for left leg power were 717W±200W (range=325W-1200W); right leg power 747W±222W (range=293W-1200W) asymmetry index a value of 11%±10% (range=0%-33%). Conclusions: the Smartcoach system allows a quantitative analysis of movement in different types of machines, providing statistical data that allow the analysis of an athlete's performance, physical variables such as power and strength are decisive in the performance of professional athletes. However, isolated objective evaluations must be carried out unilaterally, generating the analysis of asymmetries between different muscle groups and functional movements in specific situations of the sport in order to generate statistical profiles that adapt optimizing and adjuvant intervention protocols for athletes.Downloads
