Abstract

In this study we will focus specifically in the corners and indirect free kicks by the methodology observational, in order understanding the importance of the “stopped ball plays” in the senior women's football. We have analysed 9 games from the 2014 – 2015 season. All matches studied were played by F.C. Barcelona Female. We have developed a system of doormats consist of 12 criteria to analyse the data with an evaluation of data quality. The specific goals are finding out the degree of efficiency according to the data collected we can determinate it is very low in both types of “stopped ball plays”, study the most common actions like laterality, that the trajectory of the majority of actions were to be closes, the ending area the most executions are sent to the front post and the relationship between the corners and indirect free kicks over time and goals. Regarding to the relationship of the corners and indirect free kicks with time, it was concluded that the greater number in the last third of both parts. Referring to the relationship of goals over time, it is determined that have been added to the score in the final minutes of the respective parts.
