Abstract

This study presents the results for an investigation that seeks to assess how the modification of the instrumental condition of practice in the tennis flat service affects on the accuracy in this motor skill. Using a three-dimensional position sensor and radar were analyzed different kinematics variables related to the position and acceleration of the hand that holds the racket. Data of its trajectory until impact during the last phase of implementation were registered that was compared with the accuracy achieved. It was recorded through a system of ball ship digitalization on the tennis court pavement. The results show correlations among variables associated with linear acceleration of the hand and its position and the loss of accuracy in width.
