Combat sports are generally not part of the content selected by Physical Education teachers, making it impossible for pupils to learn combat sports. For this reason, a quantitative-descriptive study was carried out, with a pre-test and post-test questionnaire design, for 270 secondary school students with the aim of investigating the opinion that the students have of the taekwondo and boxing modalities after the application of a didactic intervention. The effects of the intervention on student learning indicate that student perceptions have improved and biases have been reduced in both modalities. The effects on student learning indicate that student perception has improved and biases have been reduced in both modalities. For boxing, in the variables related to the acquisition of knowledge (p=.03), development of skills (p=.01) and improvement of attitudes (p=.01), and in case of taekwondo, significance is seen in the items related to the acquisition of knowledge (p=.01), improvement of attitudes (p=.02), and development of skills (p=.04) in this order. A positive relationship is observed between the gender of the students and the items for both sports, with girls being higher on improving attitudes, while boys are higher on acquiring specific skills and knowledge.Downloads
