The aim of this study was to analyse learning differences in schoolchildren under tow different methodologies. Sample was composed by 47 fifth grade students (61.7 % girls). One group was teaching under an alternative approach (n=24) and the other a traditional approach (n=27). Learning programs were validated by experts´ panels. An instrument for learning measures and performance in basketball was used to calculate programs efficacy. Multirater κfree show excellent inter-observers reliability (κ≥.80). Descriptive analysis and ANOVA were conducted. Also magnitude based inferences were calculated. Results show better performance in students under alternative approach, especially in decision making performance (p≤ .01), efficacy (p≤ .05), and total performance indicator (p≤ .05).Downloads
