Abstract

Perceptive strategy is an influential parameter in the information reception of the soccer player. It’s related to visual skills, the tactical knowledge of the game and the ability to attend important stimulation. The purpose of this research was to improve the perceptive strategy of four players, whose specific position was centre back, through specific training that combined video images and tasks in the soccer field. They were between 14 and 17 years old. The subjects were filmed during six games, three pre-treatment and three post-treatment. The players’ performance, in terms of reduction of mistakes, in perceptive strategy improved after the treatment. We conclude that perceptive strategy of centre back is potentially improved through specific training in players from 14 to 17 years old.
