Abstract

There are few works that analyze the efforts made by young soccer players so the aim of this study was to determine and compare the intensity of the young players aged under 12ve and under 14th years in 7 against 7 (F7) soccer matches and regular 11x11 matches (F11). The study involved 30 players under 12ve and 28 under 14th. We recorded heart rate (HR) in four games, two of F7 and two of F11. Only significant difference was founded in the average rate percentage compare to the maximum rate between F7 (~79%) and F11 (~76%). When comparing the maximum and average heart rate between the first and second half of the games only in F11 were found significant differences (~195 vs. ~192 bpm and ~164 vs. ~159 bpm). In conclusion the players of this study reached more intensive effort in F7 matches. Possibly the longer length of the matches of the F11 caused the decrease of the HR in the second half time.
